Hello, friends! Welcome to the first entry on the ol (meaning = new) travel blog! Starts off as “Carol’s Gotta Go…” to China!! Or…”in” China if you prefer.

I just finished my 2nd triathlon. The one in Chicago is actually the biggest in the world! Take that China! At least I had the company of the Slightly Mighty Susie and Suj, and a ton of cool fans too.

So I figured, why not go to China the next day and spend 20+ hours on a plane recovering?!

Joee and I fly into Shanghai bright and early and then go on to Xi’an for about a week there with her very generous friend Patrick, who offered us a place to stay as well as use of his tour guidey skills.
